processing as state reconstruction in optics

چکیده
The image reconstruction of partially coherent light is interpreted as the quantum state reconstruction. The efficient method based on maximum-likelihood estimation is proposed to acquire information from registered intensity measurements affected by noise. The connection with totally incoherent image restoration is pointed out. The feasibility of the method is demonstrated numerically. Spatial and correlation details significantly smaller than the diffrac-tion limit are revealed in the reconstructed pattern.

The Study of Variation of Photon Intensity Inside Biological Phantom by Green Theorem
The Image reconstruction is an important problem in optical tomography. The process of the image processing requires the study of photon migration in biological tissue. There are several approaches to study and simulate propagation of photons in biological tissues. These approaches are categorized into stochastic and analytical groups. The Monte Carlo method as a stochastic method is widely use...
متن کاملUltra-Fast Image Reconstruction of Tomosynthesis Mammography Using GPU
Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a technology that creates three dimensional (3D) images of breast tissue. Tomosynthesis mammography detects lesions that are not detectable with other imaging systems. If image reconstruction time is in the order of seconds, we can use Tomosynthesis systems to perform Tomosynthesis-guided Interventional procedures. This research has been designed to study u...
متن کاملDiscrete Wigner Function Reconstruction and Compressed Sensing
Wigner function(WF), a quasi-probability distribution in phase space, was first introduced to describe quantum state in quantum mechanics by E. P. Wigner[1]. And later, it was extended to classical optics and signal processing. Since its birth, a great number of applications have been conducted in different fields. As for the original quantum case, like a continuous onedimensional quantum syste...
متن کاملStatistics of Exciton Emission in a Semiconductor Microcavity: Detuning and Exciton-Exciton Effects
We consider the interaction of quantum light with an ideal semiconductor microcavity. We investigate photon statistics in different conditions and the presence of detuning and exciton-exciton interaction. We show that in the resonant interaction and absence of the exciton-exciton interaction, the state of the whole system can be considered as coherent state. According to our results, it turns...
متن کاملPerformance of Hybrid Adaptive Optics Systems
Advances in Adaptive Optics (AO) systems and image processing techniques have allowed image reconstruction to reach new levels of sophistication with impressive improvements in resolvability. The products of these reconstruction methods are often compared by eye due to a lack of widely agreed-upon objective performance metrics. This presentation describes imagery of satellites taken with and wi...
